48% Capacity at Kingdom Halls - A post on reddit

there was a letter read this week, followed by a talk about all the changes that are coming in the next couple of months regarding merging congregations in the area (va/md/dc) - the letter said that the kh's in the area are only being filled to 48% capacity.

this was music to my ears as i have noticed the decline in attendance in all the neighboring congregations.

they will sell some kingdom halls and merge some congregations.

I think this can be seen in the context of English churches which are now down to about 4.75% of the population attending on a regular basis and about 7% in Scotland. Very few bums on a sea of seats. This is the new world order!

The irony of a description of propaganda from the arch propagandists the JW Org!

And they are right of course in describing it, butter wouldn't melt in their mouths. Quote a celebrated intellectual to make out you are on his side and not afraid of argument. Then, descending into classic WT rhetoric, tell them that to listen to others who are outside of the JW org, is to be deceived by Satan.

For you simpletons life is reduced to black and white reasoning. If you only would wake up and listen to your vile hypocrisy! How can anyone expect to learn anything from a teaching organisation which does not believe in a critical analysis of ideas?

Oh! how shallow you are JW Org, how shameful you are in your transparent, self praising and repetitive propaganda. When will you acknowledge that you are not God's channel, that 1914 is a ploy to appear to have had divine attention? Your literature is the most distributed and most meaningless and least read material ever produced in the world history of printing.

Please JW org, come clean and admit it now that you are running a doomsday scam and hurting people with your propaganda lies.

The fate of all of Jehovah's Witnesses

i have just posted elsewhere that there is no destiny for a jw other than to be deluded or disappointed, perhaps deluded or disillusioned would be a better expression.

there is no such thing as armageddon, no such thing as everlasting life, paradise is a mirage of wish fulfillment.. a friend of mine who is nominally a jw but who does not believe a word of it, told me about the dying words of another friend's father.

this man had been a lifelong stalwart jw and reared an exemplary jw dynasty but as he died he told his super zealous son that it (the jw religion) has got it all wrong.. ok, it's a social club for the majority of witnesses and an identity for those without self worth or clear goals in life, they will swallow the inconsistencies and biblical absurdities because it is in their community interests to conform.

Cold steel, I suggest that prophecy is an idiot's game. It is part of the great spiritual con trick, a wrong idea embedded in the human cultural consciousness from time immemorial. It's time to question such primitive notions. Prophecy is a tool of religious mind control.

Yes EverApostate, what a devastating waste of human time and talent courtesy of the Watchtower-JW-Org! Millions deceived out of a proper life by them and dying unrewarded while the Org gets richer and richer.

Spiral, joining JWs is a very poor bet; how many of the what! 20 million JWs who have ever lived, have been given a reward as promised by the Org? The only winnings have been 20 million booby prizes.

It must be happening more and more that JWs are waking up to the reality that they have been in an awful cult. They have had their lives stolen from them because of their own bad decision to become (or remain) a member.

Imagine, (if you haven't already experienced it yourself) the tragedy of a middle aged or old JW upon awakening, feels condemned to putting on the appearance of being a believer for the sake of family, for rest of his or her life! It takes a lot of courage to leave the cult.

We only get one life and if you're not careful, Jehovah's Witnesses are out to steal it!

Do girls become angels?

in this video montage from paul leonhart and eden channel a jw girl in hospital hopes to become once an "angel" or something similar at 1:06, if she only believes in jehovah.

perhaps this is a reference also to the bloodissue and remaining loyal.. the comment states that 20 million persons are no glorifing god and awaiting a "great tribulation" (in big letters).

I'm sure most girls would prefer to be girls rather than angels and that the "great tribulation" which JWs are predicting, will only be visited upon themselves................

The way the JW org works is to demand and expect total obedience to the cult masters.

It is not about truth or doctrine, the Org (like some other religions) is a mere business which goes about milking the gullible for their loyalty to the cult brand.This consists of a set of religious hypotheses invented by the governing body and presented as the exclusive set of divine truths-- but in reality doctrine is only a side show to the demand for brand loyalty.

All cult members are indoctrinated to have the highest expectation of complete conformity, this is the magic ingredient for a cult; everyone believing the same doctrine both as a prized mark of membership and as an (apparent) visible symbol of divine blessing. Therefore cult members are always alarmed at the smallest deviation from cult orthodoxy, the cult leaders however when challenged, become incandescent!

Were differing views permitted in the kh's the whole house of cards would instantly fall hence the perpetual propaganda to stave off real learning and making the case for believing only in the JW leadership. They must of course present their role as the only mediation between God and men, even if they publish otherwise.

Heresy then is the scourge of all cults!

Real knowledge thrives on argument and evidence. . . and cults thrive on ignorance and obedience.

If a person is transgender and gets saved what will they go to heaven as?

i know this is a stupid question because the answer is obvious, but if a person was born a male and gets transgender surgery to turn into female will that person go to heaven as a male or female if they died saved?

i think they will go to heaven with the gender they were born with.

i think they will go to heaven with the gender they were born with.
